What do your kids do on the weekend?

Recommended Posts

My oldest boy is 9... well turning 10 soon. He got invited to a friends birthday party this weekend but he decided against it. He wanted to go to work instead. He’s been running this drill most of the day by himself.

My girl was studying advanced calculus. J/k. Actually that was so long ago that I have no fucking idea. I still haven’t a clue what to buy for her on her birthday.

Kid hangs around with mom and dad.  We do family bike rides, chase after the family dog. feed cattle, field work, work on cars and sleds, etc.

Do the best I can, but I wish he came with a instruction manual.

That's cool but its pretty hard in anything but farming and chores around the house to legally have 10 YO's work these days.

Well,

Then you would have people complaining , saying a 10 year old working is like slavery and will bring down wages.  LOL.

I went to work with Dad on saturdays at that age doing construction. I really just enjoyed hanging out with him as he worked all the time.

To this kid it’s child abuse if you don’t let him work lol

Yeah same.. and he prefers adult activities too over playing video games or playing with toys. Working on cars, sledding and quaffing, operating equipment, ETC
