Diplomacy is always preferred over war IMO, but I don’t think there is a precedent to something like this. NK is the way it is because that’s the way their leadership wants it. It’s not like nobody has talked with them before and made deals. There’s a process for this sort of thing from what I understand and this isn’t it, but....if it cools tensions then I don’t have a problem with it either.
