The map is showing red around here. They should've groomed Thurs nite when it was cold to set it up. There was plenty of snow to do so and they still haven't been out yet. Sleds have been going by pretty steady since Fri and we got more snow last nite

Why would it?  A telephone to the club works just as well.

In any case, 2 trails were closed in the MSR this weekend because of people riding on closed trails.  Yes, private land, and yes, they can do that.  What would have been the harm in waiting for a bit more snow?

Nowhere when I purchased a trail permit does it say that I required internet and an electronic device to determine if the trails are open. If the gates are not closed and there are not signs posted saying it’s closed..it isn’t.

The guide is.......a guide

Will you be campaigning on the merits of riding closed trails?  Lol

Yes I bet.  Image if they all stayed home because of the Red OFSC colour.....Port Severn would be bankrupt.  I’m considering running for Pres of the OFSC next year.  Is there an application?

No, you're just looking for a reacharound.  Nobody claimed only the online guide is gospel.  Lol.  The internet is relatively new....

Pretty sure there might be other things you need to know other than what you read when you got your trail permit.  For example, it is not legal to murder anyone on an OFSC trail.  But I read the entire document, and there is nothing on there stating that.....

Have fun, and ride safe!  Try not to get stuck in any washouts...

What area are you trailering to that has open trails?

Must have had over 20 sleds cross our property (which we have allowed the OFSC to use for many years) on closed OFSC trails on Sat...good thing Constable Puzzle wasn’t there...

Not trailering anywhere...riding sleds from my own property on the OFSC trail

Go take your meds, you obviously missed today’s dose...and maybe yesterday’s...lmao

That's cool.  As a landowner, you have that right.  The same as a landowner has the right to revoke permission.  And that's why 2 trails got closed this weekend.

So you'll be trespassing, good to know.  :groin:

Nah, my poison is only bourbon these days..... and vag.  But the bourbon gives me less grief....

Exactly.  Probably mostly Millenials  though with that attitude.

Imagine if a pilot landed on a closed runway, and then claimed "I thought that was a guideline only."

The OPP will charge you around here if you are on a closed trail, and rightly so. The attitude that trail is ride-able if "I" say so is the problem here.

That is because most of the trails here run on private property, of which, most is farm land.

You have driven many  closed trails with me and said the OFSC guide is rubbish. Stop trolling and sell a few more Kijiji passes.

Wait for what, No point, we had great snow conditions.  Everyone we met said the trails were great south and east of my place.

The guy I was riding with assured me it was ok.  :)  Troll.....me?  Never.....

I buy the passes.  But they cannot be resold, it's policy.  It's stated on the accompanying official looking document.

Wait for the trails to open.

We were talking about the MSR, a busy corridor.  Try to keep up.

Lol, nope.  And someone else paid for her augmentation.

Just being fiscally prudent, in these challenging economic times.....
