For the people unless you are an employee, he just took 2 grand a year away from low wage earners.

but yea for the people unless if you liked the SEx-ED act, then he is against you and for the Muslims.

Unless  you want to ride a motor bike without a helmet, you need to be brown, whites need not ask

Catering to small groups doesn't sound like something you would approve of,  I guess DOUG TOLD YOU

hey trail, how you liking pretty boy now your going to be paying out the ying yang for the new tax coming up?

I was never a fan of this but its going to happen. Trudeau campaigned on this (unlike DOUG and his Toronto agenda)

we already had cap n trade and didn't notice a thing, also didn't notice any prices going down when it was taken off.

But now we might see more out of our pocket since DOUG is going to try to save us from the program he cancelled.

So I will wait and see how much DOUG is going to cost us now, courts to taxes

JT says I will get it back in rebates at tax time.

We will see soon

Ontario unemployment rate hits 18-year low, six months after minimum wage hike

Ontario’s jobless rate hit an 18-year low in July, as the country’s largest economy continued to churn out jobs despite this year’s hefty hike in the minimum wage.

When the province raised the mandatory hourly rate 21 per cent to $14 in January, businesses and their trade groups warned of employment losses. But, six months later, Statistics Canada data show that has not happened.

In fact, Ontario’s labour market is on fire.

The province added 61,000 new jobs in July and the jobless rate fell from 5.9 per cent to 5.4 per cent − the lowest level since 2000, according to the Statscan monthly Labour Force Survey released on Friday. Over all, the country added 54,000 net new jobs in July. The national jobless rate fell from 6 per cent to 5.8 per cent, reverting back to where it has been for most of the year

Year-over-year, Ontario’s employment grew by 2.0% (+139,500), higher than the Canadian rate of 1.3%.

Ontario’s unemployment rate was 5.9% in June 2018, up 0.2 percentage points from last month and down 0.5 percentage points from June last year.

Year-over-year Overview

Between the second quarter of 2017 and 2018:

  • Employment growth was driven by increases in full-time employment (+2.9%) while part-time employment declined (−2.4%).
  • The private sector added the most jobs, but the public sector experienced the highest rate of growth in employment (+3.3%).
  • There were significant employment gains in both the services- (+2.0%) and goods- (+1.9%) producing sectors.
  • Four of the five Ontario regions posted solid employment gains with Southwestern Ontario experiencing the fastest employment growth (+3.7%).
  • Older workers and youth experienced above-average employment growth (+3.4% and +2.5%, respectively).
  • The average hourly wage increased by 4.4%, to $27.43.

what they gain in one month they lose in another

The Canadian economy lost 51,600 net jobs in August in a decrease that drove up the unemployment rate and essentially wiped out the big gain in July.

Statistics Canada’s labour force survey says the jobless rate hit six per cent in August, up from 5.8 per cent in July.

 such suckers for hate

Ontario is in great shape today, Doug is lucky to take over with such great numbers.

Since Trudeau has taken over our country has done nothing but gain jobs jobs jobs - Do I think its all Trudeau's doings? NO - I leave that for you guys to believe

Employment rose by 63,000 in September, driven by an increase in part-time employment. The unemployment rate declined 0.1 percentage points to 5.9%.

Compared with September 2017, employment was up 222,000 or 1.2%, entirely the result of gains in full-time work (+224,000). Over the same period, total hours worked increased 0.7%.

In the third quarter, employment grew by 66,000 (+0.4%), following little change in the first and second quarters.
