Doug's new slogan "Not Open For Business"

TORONTO -- Ontario is pausing any further steps in its reopening plan as daily COVID-19 case counts continue to spike in the province.

Health Minister Christine Elliott made the announcement on Tuesday, saying that the "latest trend in numbers have raised some concern, especially as we begin to reopen schools and post-secondary institutions."

Elliott said that based on advice from Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Williams and the public health measures table, Ontario will take "a pause of four weeks" before the province considers any further loosening of public health measures or further reopening of businesses, facilities or organizations.

Doug lashed out at party goers today.

I figure you guys are totally against what he is doing with the Province and its response but will play along anyway

More bad news, gold mine opening with 400 full time jobs in northern Ontario.

This economy has to stop so we can blame Trudeau for it all.  Thankfully Doug is working hard on jobs

n late August, a three-judge panel ruled that Ontario's information and privacy commissioner's (IPC) original decision ordering Ford's government to disclose its mandate letters to CBC News was reasonable and dismissed the judicial review.

"The Attorney General's submission amounts to no more than an invitation for this Court to re-weigh the evidence and overturn the findings of the IPC with which the Cabinet Office disagrees," said Justice Michael Penny in the Aug. 27 decision.

The Ontario government was ordered to pay CBC $17,000 in legal costs for the judicial review since the case was dismissed.

Besides covering those costs, it's unclear how many tax dollars and government resources have gone toward the case.

Last fall, CBC News filed a freedom of information request to find out how many Crown attorneys were working on the province's case — and how many hours each lawyer had devoted to it — since the corporation's initial access request for the mandate letters was filed.

except this is a new one to add to our Economy

With ground officially being broken for the Côté Gold Mine, IAMGOLD’s president and CEO, Gordon Stothart, believes it’s the start of a 30-year operation.

IAMGOLD's Côté Gold Project is a joint venture with Sumitomo Metal Mining. In July it was announced approvals had been received to start construction at the Gogama-area site.

At a construction staging area for the mine, Stothart, Premier Doug Ford and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, along with other dignitaries, broke ground for the project today.

Stothart expects construction to start in a couple of weeks.

so NO it doesn't happen all the time
