TTC investigates after video apparently captures operator shaming passenger for being 'foul smelling'

Good on them for saying so. If people smell tell them.

Ontario will spend $1.6 billion more this fiscal year to stabilize increasing hydro rates for customers across the province.

Finance Minister Rod Phillips says the government will exceed the $4 billion it has previously budgeted to keep prices stable — bringing the total spend to $5.6 billion.

You all must cheer this since it was in THE SUN and FORD said so - deficit increasing only matters when its Liberals

Rates continue to go up under FORD government - promise made promise fail

A new study by the Fraser Institute says the cost of electricity for Ontario consumers continues to rise, despite Premier Doug Ford’s 2018 election promise to begin lowering rates by 12%, starting this year.

The study, released Tuesday, says between April, 2018 — two months before the Ford government took office — and April, 2019, electricity prices in Toronto increased 5% annually for residential customers, who are paying 22% more for electricity than the Canadian average.

This 5% increase excludes the additional 1.8% annual hike in residential electricity bills recently approved by the Ontario Energy Board, which took effect Nov. 1, increasing the average annual cost of electricity for residential consumers by an additional $24.

In a recent interview with the Toronto Sun, Ford pledged to reduce hydro rates by 12% before the next election in 2022, blaming the previous Liberal government for grossly mismanaging the electricity file

Lying Doug was called out.

As always DOUG has talked to them all no matter the subject, he speaks to them all.

TORONTO -- Premier Doug Ford’s office says it will not publicize any text messages he may have received from Ontario teachers indicating they are unwilling participants in the ongoing labour dispute, despite his reliance on the messages to demonstrate support from educators.

Over the weekend, Ford told CP24 that he’s received “numerous texts” from teachers indicating that they are unwilling participants of the labour dispute.

“I have had numerous, numerous texts from teachers saying ‘I don’t want to be doing this,’” Ford told CP24 in Wiarton Sunday morning.

Can we see 1 text?  no

Government left the table again - I hope this gets solved soon

One principal said that due to this regulation, the administrator was forced to choose between a teacher who admitted in the interview that the educator was only in the job to get the summers off and a teacher who showed up sweaty and disheveled and admitted to drinking with friends the night before.

anti Teacher ads now linked to FORD and his appointees - his friends are getting rich no doubt but that is okay he is a conservative .

Pretty funny buying stock pics (Polish Model) and trying to pull her off as a Toronto mom upset - blatant lies are common with FORD...

One twisted fact is Teacher compensation is up 80% since 2003 -  to the lame ONEWAY haters this means an 80% raise for teachers  in that period of time

not even close, it means there are more teachers due to more students in the system

but who cares we should hate all Union members and association connect - oh wait

TORONTO -- Ontario Premier Doug Ford waded into American politics during a trip to Washington D.C. on Friday, taking shots at United States House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democratic presidential contender Bernie Sanders, while expressing his desire to see the re-election of President Donald Trump.

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - An Ontario city is telling its firefighters to turn down the heat on their steamy annual calendar or risk losing municipal backing for the fundraiser.

Every year, members of the St. Catharines Fire Combat Team strip down and flex their muscles for a good cause with proceeds going to charity.

But now local officials say firefighters either have to cover up or not wear their uniforms for the shoot, because municipal resources can't be used for the publication of bare-chested photos of employees.

Deputy chief administrative officer David Oakes insisted the no shirts, no city services mandate isn't meant to discourage do-gooding, but to uphold standards of “respect and dignity” in the workplace.

lol No it came about since you can't hang pictures of women such as sunshine girls or female fire fighters but picture of men were okay....

They said no more - if you show too much skin you can't use the uniforms or trucks or Halls in any photo.

The calendar can still have the men with shirts off, they just can't use any Government owed items.

We have had employees reprimanded for just having the sunshine girl page open on their desk - I think the days of beauty contests and sunshine girls is coming to an end.

what is funny is in the comments Trudeau is being blamed   there is also a alot of comments stating FORD has nothing to do with this.

Strange eh!

Go Doug

Funny you mentioned this

nothing has changed, if you read the wait time site waiting is actually up recently

sometimes you get lucky and in and out -

Hallway Health Care is not improving this is fact - the very idea that someone (doug ford) can come in and just improve the entire system  over night is a ridiculous statement.

It isn't his fault either

Personally I think we have had great health system and have for a very long time - it is hit or miss and if you are in a rural area your choices are slim.

JANUARY 2020

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/ontario-hospital-hallway-medicine-healthcare-beyond-capacity-1.5420434

CBC News analyzed data for all 169 acute care hospital sites in the province during this six-month time frame. Some of the key findings:

  • 83 hospitals were beyond 100 per cent capacity for more than 30 days.
  • 39 hospitals hit 120 per cent capacity or higher for at least one day.
  • 40 hospitals averaged 100 per cent capacity or higher.

An expert on hospital administration calls the figures "astonishing" and says they demonstrate that overcrowding is now a widespread phenomenon around Ontario.

"These are really big numbers," said Donald Redelmeier, a professor of medicine at University of Toronto. He said the data show the hallway medicine problem is neither occasional nor restricted to a few hospitals.

maybe those GREEDY NURSES could take a pay cut :dunno:  its always the greed of the employee isn't it?

TORONTO — Hallway health care is a significant problem that continues to strain Ontario's hospitals and health care system. Across Ontario, too many patients are left waiting too long for the care they need. That's why Ontario's Government for the People is taking a major step forward in its plans to end hallway health care by investing $27 billion over the next 10 years in essential hospital infrastructure projects across the province. These investments will build critical frontline care capacity by creating more than 3,000 new hospital beds.

From Ontario website this is the plan

What is the Premier of Toronto going to do about TTC presto cards being used illegally?

I am going to say he will do nothing and just put blame on others, maybe even Trudeau will be at fault.

FORD seems to have zero plans for anything in Ontario

mAYBE A good Slogan will help

SLOGAN MAN says he spoke to everyone about these license plates  changing slogan to PLACE TO GLOW as a cure.

this is totally Wynne's fault maybe Trudeau's too - one thing for certain it is not FORD governments fault as stated many times in the past few days..

This is nothing but a Witch Hunt set forth by Liberals and CBC.

Post Millennial says the public is wrong the plates are perfect plates made by a perfect government  you do notice POST MILLENNIAL says nothing about this topic :dunno:

THE SUN reported it but didn't give their opinion of hate you should have towards the government as it has for everything Liberal - at least they reported it

If the 407 and traffic cams complaining about plates not being able to be read, what the fuck did they test it on?  seems fucked up 3M just taking tax dollars again...  The LIBERAL PLATES peeled so lets use the same company and blame Wynne

Go Doug Go

we asked and talk to all police in the province and they all approve the new plates, FAKE NEWS is trying to make this into something else.

Extensive testing was done, we just never thought of shinning headlights at them
