Anyone dumb enough to have spent the past decade in bonds missed the opportunity.  Unless you're retiring in the near future and messed up your retirement plan the equities is still the best option.

That said private equity is another great option that is often missed.

Institutions have to be in bonds

I know HARPER sure did add to our debt and so did WYNNE

funny how one is GREATNESS and the other isn't in a ONEWAY world

A lot of long term debt is bad! That's why growth is slow and people are generally disgruntled with leaders-left or right-they're looking for 'the answer' which is fleeting. Ultimately the debt gets paid off or not!

While DOUG GAVE UP AND TOSSED IN THE TOWEL for GM workers to quote " I have spoke to GM and its over nothing can be done " seems Smoky didn't give up and GM has agreed to open with parts and a new test track for Electric Cars ( these too DOUG IS AGAINST)

Don't give up like our Government has, keep fighting for jobs

Kind of pathetic of DOUG

Let private enterprise decide-21,000 jobs down to 300 tells you whar GM thinks of our unions & competitive abilities!

so 150 years of debt is going to backfire   Since every country in the world owes money, USA the most indebted nation by 10 fold

can't wait for this all to come to a  head

If you are really concerned about the debt the don't vote CPC they have added most of our debt 80%

Translation?

Its pretty simple

Ontario is half of Canada's GDP - Federal numbers depend in Provincial numbers - it is impossible for Canada to do well without Ontario......

Harper was great according to you and that translates into Ontario numbers creating that for Harper.  (in this case tons of debt)

For Trudeau to have bad numbers now, DOUG needs to fail -  So if you say Trudeau's numbers are bad it is then (Ontario ) DOUG's fault

There is no way around not including Ontario

Major government debt started in the mid/late '60's. in this country under Dopey's Dad-there was 150 trillion in '08/now 250 trillion-a big problem!

It has nothing to do with Trudeau sr.      - after 12 years of spending Joe Clark spent the same 90 billion in less than 1 year

how important OIL is, without it the ONE TRICK PONY PROVINCE is worthless it seems,  even they think so.

this is why the Liberals back oil pipe lines :dunno:   after 10 years of CPC rule nothing happened until Trudeau took charge.   At least we are aware of what the courts are saying about the line.

just over 4 million crying about the lose of over paid union jobs   and the CONS are pretending to care similar to DOUG caring about GM workers

Government generally shouldn't get in the way of private enterprise but set up the ways for it to fluorish-less red tape etc.

so you voted for DOUG so all is good right?

Just curious what you think about national deals like free trade - shouldn't you be against any involvement

What a about subsidized markets :dunno:  shouldn't the government stay out of if and let them starve

Generally free enterprise leads to the best returns/inventions and less government involvement is better as it tends to impede growth and stifle competition!

Free market unchecked brings greed and higher prices FACT

Pharmacy is one of them - they have greed that rips up clean - this industry needs to be regulated better

You not wanting to help starving farmers when we have droughts is sad really - but its your way I guess

Lower costs by inviting more competition, seems to work well just fine.  How much are you willing to pay for a car?  Pharma is no different.  System takes advantage of the flaws.

No different than your benefits, gotta max out on those orthopedic shoes/year that you don't need.

The Ford government plans to stop all funding to an institute that supports Ontario scientists at the cutting edge of stem cell research.

Provincial officials have told the Ontario Institute for Regenerative Medicine (OIRM) that its $5 million in annual funding from the province will cease next March.

If true, Ford is getting carried away but since it's a CBC article I'll wait until the real story comes out.
