Lowes (RONA) isn't pulling stores only in Ontario, they are pulling out 31 stores across Canada. So what does Ford have to do with anything related to that?

Amazon is building a massive warehouse in Ottawa. Not an HQ, but still Ontario...

sorry I forgot, Wynne is gone so we no longer blame the Ontario government like we have for the past decade here

I know it isn't Doug fault

Had to expect that some stores would close after they rebranded on all the Rona to Lowes.....do not need two home building stores owned by the same close together, especially when the numbers start to decline....:flush:

Regarding Amazon warehouses, how about the recent ones in TO, BC, AB.....

lol one of the Lowes stores they are closing just opened

They also closed alot of Northern Rona's when they bought them

So they bought them last week and closed them?

What RED TAPE 02sled :dunno: give me the list

it was under Wynne and the Liberals when the deal started, you should it wasn't possible because we were not open for business until  Doug said so

You don't get it and are obviously too stupid to ever understand. None of this would be happening without SPECIAL INCENTIVES mainly from the city for them to come here. UNDER NORMAL BUSINESS CIRCUMSTANCES THEY WOULDN'T BE COMING TO TORONTO OR EVEN CONSIDER IT.

Essentially under normal circumstances business isn't interested in coming to Ontario when they have other options. GET IT... NO SPECIAL INCENTIVES OFFERED - NOT COMING TO ONTARIO. The reason for the incentives? The port lands have so many drawbacks nobody would touch them without HUGE financial incentives.

As for the red tape (bureaucracy) BS here you go. Too bad you won't be able to understand this either.

Cost to do business here is too high.  Btw TO is out of the Amazon running.

Amazon is apparently splitting things and building in their offices in two different cities in the US. They are building a warehouse for one reason only.... to provide cost effective delivery to the customers here.

more leaving Ontario under Dougie and its not even 6 months in

Ontario

Regional support centre, Mississauga

Rona Mississauga (Westdale Mall)

Rona Mississauga (Lakeshore)

Rona Sault Ste. Marie

Rona Sudbury

Rona Peterborough

Rona Kingston (Bath Road)

Rona Lakefield

Lowe’s North York (Centerpoint Mall)

Lowe’s Sault Ste. Marie

More Fail stupidity... They aren't leaving Ontario and going elsewhere. They are shutting down retail stores. They are also doing this all across the country so instead of trying to blame Doug how about your lover Trudope being to blame. But how is that possible. Another situation where these business leaders didn't get the FAIL memo that the Canadian economy is booming and the same with unemployment levels. Be sure to send your memo to all those that are going to become unemployed. Of course you really believe these decisions are made overnight. The analysis that brought these decisions probably started well over a year ago.

Yep, that's the reason why you lost. People didn't like you, it had nothing to do with what you did to this Province. Is she really that stupid?

Defiant, yet almost in tears over her party’s loss, Ms. Wynne at once defends her government’s record while acknowledging that her personal unpopularity caused her to take the extraordinary step of announcing days before the June election that she would not win.

They need to hang onto every seat imo.

not relevant today, but in 4 years there will be plenty of seats up for grabs.

People (not the oneways) will tire of Doug's slogans with no results.  Already unemployment has gone up and as the economy slow, SloganMan will place the blame on someone other than himself.

When you inherit a good economy and record employment the books should get better.

I don't buy the 15 billion deficit Doug is selling,  Do you buy the 10 billion Harper left Trudeau?  doubtful

Either way if he gives us a tax cut the cost won't  matter similar to Harris tax cut - You won't see our debt going down anytime soon or anytime later

15 billion came from the auditor general so that's likely how it gets recorded.  What 10 billion mess did Harper leave?

Deferred spending, it was brought up when Trudeau went to near 20 billion deficit

Trudeau maintained the Liberals remained consistent with their 2015 election commitment to add about $10 billion in new spending for 2016-17, their first full year in office.

He argued, however, that the Liberals had to deal with a baseline deficit of $18 billion after coming to power, even though their Tory predecessors had predicted a balanced budget.

The fiscal impact left behind by the Tories was a $1-billion deficit that affected the bottom line in 2015-16, Chloe Luciani-Girouard wrote in an email.

Its been Harper's (or any government) game played many times

  • In 2009-10, for example, the final year-end federal deficit wound up at $55.6 billion — fully $15.1 billion worse than the 11-month figures showed in February 2010.
  • In 2011-12, the final deficit was $11.8 billion deeper than the February figure.
  • Last year(14), the final deficit was $4 billion deeper.

It really shows how meaningless deficits are, you vote Cons because they are good with money :dunno:  but they aren't even close

Her budget added 20 billion a year to the debt for the next 4 years.  Its all where you want to place the numbers, the picture still looks the same.

NO

20 billion is a 5 billion deficit NOT 15 billion like Doug says it is now.  That would add 60 billion in 4 years

The numbber games these people play is always the same game rules

You really need to think before you comment on financial matters. I know that is a lot to ask of you but you really need to try.

A  5 billion deficit becomes 20 if the government commits to 5 billion new spending in each of the 4 years. 15 billion only becomes 60 if they commit to 15 billion in new spending in each year for 4 years; if they don't it is just 15 billion for that year. The cost to carry that debt in the following years will add to the deficit but it wont be 15 billion.
