not talking about Political decisions, talking about plain old chaos - Toronto voted in Rob and got a bit more than expected

a FORD is a FORD is a FORD

Mike Harris made huge massive Unions, Doug will have to deal with the huge striking coming up very soon just like last time.  Most strikes in  History were under PC governments.  Oh debt almost double than too.

I have a feeling Doug will surpass the Liberals in collective debts, but if I get my 8$ a month off hydro it will be all worth it

Don't forget your tax break isn't coming until year 3 so hang tight

Neither is my tax increase.

At least Ford is trying to right the ship and get away from deficits.

Your heros Fail all want to keep spending and spending.  I guess its okay for you as you are a government tit sucker that sits around shafting the private sector and leaching through life but there are many of us who believe governments should live within their means.  A balanced budget.

And how can anyone possibly commit to a fully costed budget when they have no idea what Liberals have actually spent?

Even the Fiberals don't know how much they have spent or committed to spending... Auditor General keeps pointing that out and Wynnebag claims the Auditor General is wrong.

keep bashing the people that  make the government and Ontario work

Hillarious... if everyone in government worked as hard as Fail it would be easy to find 75% savings in efficiencies let alone 4%. I doubt he's ever put in a full day of work... likely about 25% productivity is the best you will ever see

Quote

Horwath is intelligent and voters respond well to her because she is a likeable person. But after nine years as leader, she had never before been a serious contender for premier. Faced recently with only mildly increased scrutiny, triggered by her party’s recent climb in the polls, she has not held up well. As noted in this space last week, she was shockingly cavalier about an incident involving her candidate’s casual use of an Adolf Hitler quote on Facebook. Horwath has seemed as unconcerned by other troubling comments attributed to NDP candidates, who apparently underwent only the most superficial vetting process.

She has pre-emptively pledged never to use the government’s legislative powers to force a resolution to a long-running labour disruption, thus giving no labour union any real incentive to ever bargain in good faith. As long as they calculate they can outlast management, they will stay on the picket lines, public interest be damned.

Those are particular criticisms of Horwath’s performance; her party’s platform is another issue altogether. As even the considerably left-wing Liberal leader Kathleen Wynne has noted, it’s cut from the same old cloth of NDP socialist ideology: every social program under the sun should be universal, all funded by simply forcing corporations and “the rich” to pay a “little more.” The talking points vary by the day, but the doctrine never does. And the party didn’t exactly do much to convince voters it would be a sound steward of the public purse when it blew the arithmetic in its budget plans, opening up a $1.4-billion annual hole in its own numbers by erroneously listing an expense as revenue. It was a small error, perhaps, considering the overall size of the budget. But it was a revealing one, a reminder that the Ontario NDP has not had to be serious about taking actual power. It was also revealing of Horwath’s respect for public money when she shrugged it off, saying simply that it would take a bit longer to balance the books.

I wonder where the 'rich' bracket starts in the NDP scheme of things? Anyone who makes more than the average NDP candidate?

you are okay with a leader of only one month, never even been in Queens Park, doesn't know how a bill is past, just not ready   seems no one even knew Doug was running

The Third Party is doing its job, glad we are not USA....... Look at NDP under Harper

Either way who ever wins will be 4 years then tossed and the other will take over.  So it will be 8 years before you see LIberals again

Just like how Hudak helped Wynn out, Ford is doing the same thing for Horwath. :fool: A PC party, who again, elected the wrong leader. The only thing, and I mean the only thing that will have me voting for Ford is the fact Christine Elliott will be standing close to him. Anyone with a brain knows she should have been the leader when Patrick was chosen as the same thing applies when it comes to Ford. I would truly like to know how Ford pulled it off when it was overwhelmingly clear that everyone wanted Christine to run the PC party.

Really! The PC's would currently have an overwhelming lead where even Horwath, like Wynne, would also be conceding at this point. When this election began, everyone said this was going to be the easiest election ever for the PCs to win. That is no longer true and there is no one to blame for that but Ford.

They (ONEWAYS) don't see it the same way,  Doug won by calling Elliot a Liberal no better than wynne.

Hands down win if Elliot was elected leader, I doubt she has the hatred that some people have for the Fords, even Wynne isn't hated that much

Can't wait for Friday

I agree, and hopefully she doesn't get in but like I have been trying to say, if she does, it will be Ford's fault and the other PC idiots who voted him in. Elliott, well she would be uncorking the Champagne at this point in the election, but again, those same idiots who voted for Ford were too stupid even the second time around.

Their Parties vote them in, only PC have this stupid vote for leader.  This is what happens when you give that huge responsibility to the minions, THE PC party would have selected Elliot because they would know she would have a huge chance of winning, the the ONEWAYs for some reason think electing a proven liar would make Ontario turn to the PCs.

Its the reason Elliot took Toronto because most people don't like Doug

Doug won the leadership because he took the wacko votes from Tayna, Elliot was ahead on her own votes until then - Dumbest way to elect a leader
