That makes it nice and won't beat up your tires from all the swapping on and off rims.

You pick that Rubi up yet @AKIQPilot ?

Your axle job came out good. Nice work. It takes some effort to keep these rigs on the road.

I did buy the TJU. Its in very good condition. I’m ditching some of the expedition theme and headed more stockish. It came with a really nice Warn ti9.5 winch. Synthetic wince line. Im gonna swap that winch out with my XJ winch.

nice Tom,  you get the soft top with it as well?

I was impressed yesterday helping the boy and his girlfriend out with installing the new soft top on her JKU,  they scored her an almost new OEM soft top for $400 and change and the only missing pieces were a couple bolts to hold the bow knuckles on.  I was worried they would get taken.

I really do. I am getting zero pushback from the wife which is the most surprising part.  We would drive it down from AK to  Vegas in Sept. this will give me all summer to get it set up exactly like I want it.

LJ’s bring tall money in the lower 48. A bud is doing a drive train stretch on his JK because it’s cheaper than buying a LJ.

they ride terrible,  get terrible fuel economy,  creature comforts are pretty non existant and yet nice day top off it's one of the most fun vehicles i've owned.  I would never want it to be the only vehicle but as a spare vehicle where you can have no fucks given if it get rained on,  beat up it's awesome.

Yes I got the complete factory Jeep soft top.  It's all still in the original boxes.  It's never been put on.  I will probably sell it.  I think the hard top will be more practical for us.  We can always run around topless.  As you know these hard tops will come off in under 10 minutes, way under.

Nice pictures Woodie.  Sad we missed you guys.  We are headed back down in about 3 weeks.  Gonna hit Zion, Bryce, Moab, and the Grand Canyon.  I'm not looking forward to the heat.

Check out this camping, about twenty minutes from horse shoe bend. We spent a day there playing on the dunes. Perfect for a stock rig.

OK.  I will get the final answer from the boss but I will let you know.  I was thinking somewhere in the $400 range.  Shipping would be sort of expensive.  The framework is very light but sort of big.  I don't think it will break down any smaller than it is.

I was thinking about that with you bringing it down from AK.  if it wasn't for the security aspect i'd take the soft over the hard.  NIB OEM soft will fetch you good money

We went on our annual Beginning of Spring shakedown run again this weekend.  The holes were much bigger than I expected them to be.  The ground was very thawed.   About 30 rigs were out with us this year.  It was a shit show from beginning to end.  I spent most of the weekend on rescue pissions.  Haha

Ho Lee Fuck.  Facebook is 10 hundred times better for selling shit than Craigslist.

I posted 4 things for sale on FB this morning.  I was asking a reasonable but moderately high price for everything.  The responses were immediate.  Sold the rear bumper/tire carrier in under 15 minutes.  The two sets of tires went within an hour. The soft top has a buyer but the guy won't show up until after work this evening.

The best part is everyone can see how much interest there is when you sell on a public forum like FB.  When 10 people reply they are interested and one guy asks if you will take $50 less than asking price the whole group jumps on him and asks if he is retarded or something.

I'm $1500 richer now than I was this morning

Picked up those 2018 Rubicon takeoffs yesterday. Brand new, never rolled off the dealers lot before they were changed out for a bigger set.

That bumper is now gone too. The new one will be here monday.

Wheel spacer/adapters.  The back spacing on the 2018 wheels is 1" more than the 2006 wheels.  I got 1" spacer/adapters.   I bought billet ones from G2.  The local Jeep shop here in town stocks them.

new tires and wheels on the boys today,  bit different offset combined with the wider tire looks good,  have to see if the inspection gives me a hard time with them being outside the flares.    now i need to see if i can get 100 out of some corroded canyon rims
