Was headed north 2 days ago .

Truck is a 2006 f350 diesel , temp gauge was in the sweet spot but heat was intermitant. At times seemed normal , then would blow cold air for 3-4 minutes then normal again. Did it at 13 below and 15 above.

It's either the damper or control that regulates the damper.

When was the last time you did a coolant flush?? I would say you have a clogged heater core..

Hopefully

Could just be low on coolant. That commonly causes the issue you are experiencing.

check degass bottle coolant should be at low mark cold. ya they changed it. egr cooler still there? get rid of it. head gaskets can do this

If you made it this far with a 6.ohno you are one lucky person. Go buy a powerball ticket and get rid of that POS.

^^ X2 ^^ (and that's coming from a Ford guy)

Go get a new, or new to you 6.2.

I shook the magic 8 ball, and it said you are low on coolant or it needs to be burped.

That was never an issue on the 6leakers from my experience....dodge and duramax yes.

If you do the labor yourself youre best deleting the egr and cooler.

they will not run a emissions test if you do this, plus if the mto pulls you over they will pull your plates till the truck is put back to stock

the 6.0 is not a bad motor if you do a few things. egr cooler is #1 i leave the egr valve in place and you may not get check engine lite. if it dose need gaskets use arp head studs and ford gaskets. i have had several of these. only use ford racor filters no napa junk. i would buy another 6.0 if it was a deal. a 6.4 i would not buy. my 6.7's have been great except for fuel pumps 1 truck is going in for its 2th one. one of my 6.0 is in a f550 that pushs 19' of cutting edge down the road at mostly 3000rpm sometimes for 20 hrs its never left me stranded
