Anler
We conveniently left a couple billion in hardware in Iraq for ISIS to "acquire" They also somehow ended up with a bunch of pick up trucks and shit that were bought from auctions in the US. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMlck4IZXsk&t=5s

ISIS was hatched in a Iraq prisoner of war camp. Two very motivated and clever guys with lots of charisma. It’s way short sighted to pin it all on America. International arms dealers made a fortune. As did a variety of of nations.

Mainecat
Imagine if the NFL allowed owners to own more than one team. The entire Mid East is like that. The MIC is the reason we own a piece of every side. $$

Before money comes the need for drive and inspiration. They were highly motivated individuals. Money is worthless unless there’s sympathy to a cause. Iraq was a perfect opportunity for recruitment. As for the cash...oil sales, taxation of towns people, mining, and assets it’s army took from banks. The real cause of ISIS? The Iraq war of course. It provided despair, anger, and motivation of Sunni tribesmen. There’s nothing mysterious about what happened.

Make no mistake, ISIS was formed to oust Assad with the full support of the US even if covertly. Funny how we can cripple an entire country of people with sanctions but we cant even keep our own military hardware out of the hands of terrorists? Please... The us made equipment that Isis came to posses was captured from the Iraqi army. You make it sound like the stuff was just left laying out in the open for Isis to grab. The vast majority of small arms didn’t come from America. It came from Eastern Europe and Asia.
racer254
Stop sending weapons to anyone. I am sick of training or sending any weapons, yet they want to disarm the citizens of the US. Idiots
Muskoka Rider
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau gave 250 million dollars to HAMAS. Likely some of that ended up funding ISIS. Trudeau seems to like terrorist groups and openly supports them with our tax money while he cuts pay and benefits to our servicemen and vets. How far fetched is it to believe that it is only government sponsored as far as places like Blackwater funnelled the weapons to them? It creates new business opportunities.
