It's pretty safe to say that if Tom isn't watching the live-feed recording, there is little to no info on what needed to be repaired/replaced/maintained and how much time it took. We need Tom!!!! HAHA!!!

As of writing, Team 7 is barreling toward Nome on the edge of the Norton Sound at about 70 mph, and will become the first team to the halfway point in the 2020 Iron Dog and just 61 minutes separates the 2nd-8th teams. Some likely are, but knowing several of these guys personally, it really mostly boils down to them just being 'that good' at riding a sled as efficiently as humanly possible. A buddy of mine in particular who ran this race three different times looks like one of the guys you'd pick last in gym class...but will absolutely smoke you on a sled in pretty much any terrain. He knows everything...truly! HAHA! Schachle left UNK at 6pm last night and rode nearly nonstop toward Fairbanks (nearly 700 miles) and arrived at about 5am. Incredible....

I got a feeling there was some inter-team beef going on with Team 20. Not sure if my gut feeling is right but I'm guessing these guys didn't jive well together.
