  1. At our site we have one of the automatic machines that grinds the beans and brews coffee or espresso. It's a productivity improver. We bring a similar but smaller machine to trade shows. Not much brings people together like a good cup of coffee. At the corporate offices it's over $3 for a drip brew so I bring my own thermos. If I ran the place, coffee, tea, and soda would all be free.
  2. No free refills but it's next to the Spirit gates so always plenty of free entertainment! I buy 2 or 3 pound bags at Costco and grind it in the store. It's probably 50 cents per pot. Take it in a thermos to work. Keurig is fine if you only drink a cup a day.
  3. In Indianapolis I'm paying over $5 for a large black coffee.
  4. They hit the ceiling for me. I'm not paying $9 for a 12 pack of soda.
  5. One advantage I see is every time I leave home my "tank" would be full. I don't like having to stop on the way for fuel. Kind of a hassle to get into Sam's or Costco. I think it's $0.04/kWh here with an off-peak EV meter.
  6. They say that but I don't know how much they actually use it. I checked with my agent before I froze my credit and they said not to do that. I've changed carriers multiple times since then and no one seems to have any issues with frozen credit.
  7. My next car will probably be a used Model 3 Long Range AWD. I just use it for going to town and back and commuting to work. Any long distance trips is usually with my truck going up north. Or we could take my wife's Explorer. Just waiting for the EV market to totally crash and my Focus to completely rot apart.
  8. The industry hates people like you. Yup, but the marketing of the financial industry has brainwashed the poors into thinking a credit score is some great achievement they need to chase. The real catch is the only way to get that high score is to do business with the big banks. Watch your accounts and then freeze your credit at the 3 bureaus so no one can open new accounts with your info. The quicker you catch those fraud accounts, the easier they will be to sort out. Here is my actual FICO score. VantageScore isn't what the banks use, it just tries to approximate a FICO score.
  9. The Tesla warranty is almost 10 years long on the battery. Without a major repair like a drive motor or battery there just isn't as much mechanical on the Tesla to go wrong. These new direct injected turbocharged engines with 10+ speed transmissions aren't cheap to fix either.
  10. He has a thing for those Wisconsin fish fries.
  11. Waiting patiently to get back out. @X2700 and I in northern WI last year.
  12. Oil is high so they keep on drilling. Natural gas comes with the oil whether they want it or not. Where was that at? I bought some the other day that was around $25 for a 5 quart jug and I bought it in a 3 pack. Use it in my wife's Ecoboost. Think I went 10k on the last change. Want to change it at more like 5k but get busy and lose track.
  13. The presidential election will be won and lost and the battleground states. The Trump 0.2 lead is a national poll with only Trump and Biden. That's not how we elect presidents.
  14. Maybe I just need to put down the feed bag for awhile. Or ride Dave's XCR with the big boy springs?
  15. Sounds like you need to pick up the pace!
  16. The legislature just needs to repeal the 1864 ban and let the 2022 law go into effect. I think many states will end up in the 12-16 week range. That seems to be what most people support, even in conservative states like Ohio and Kentucky.
  17. Reminds me of the time I blew the bump stops apart on the rear suspension of @X2700 's XCR.
  18. You will see less and less diesels in the light and medium duty markets. The emissions, cost, complexity, and reliability will push more of those applications to spark ignition engines. Already seeing it with the Ford 7.3L gas and the new Cummins X10 fuel-agnostic platform.
  19. This is how it would be done from my Samsung Galaxy S23. For your purposes, WLAN and Wi-Fi are the same thing. Setup --> Connections --> Data Usage --> Mobile data turn off. Setup --> Connections --> Wi-Fi --> Search and find drone to connect to
  20. Wish mine was 4wd. It's only 2 wheel drive with turf tires. Perfect for what I need it for now but wasn't worth a shit in the snow!
  21. Newer setup with rebuilt trailer.
  22. Ours lived a hard life, sat outside most of the time. I used it for years around my property before buying a new Rancher. I have 3 machines now, 88 Fourtrax 300 2x4, 2020 Rancher 420 4x4 solid axle, and a 2023 Sportsman 850. When I need to drag my driveway, spray weeds, fertilize, or aerate the lawn, guess which one I pick? Since I have the Sportsman now, this trailer is permanently hooked up to the Rancher. The sprayer stays on my Fourtrax now.
  23. There is a big difference for viability of electric/battery powered equipment. Short use or easy to change batteries, sure. I don't use a sled or pwc for 30 minutes at a time. A lot of times on sleds we have a whole tank of fuel burned by 10 AM and are out for 8+ hours. Cordless tools are intermittent use, even for contractors, and the batteries are easily replaceable and don't require special charging infrastructure. Electric would be better suited for applications like ATVs or UTVs that are used around a business or farm. Sleds maybe for places like ski resorts but that's a real limited market. My next commuter car will probably be a Tesla but I'm only going ~70 miles round trip usually. All wheel drive and I park in my garage right next to the electrical panel. No more stopping every week for gas, just plug it in when I get home and charge at off-peak rates overnight.
