  1. It has always been that way. I have family down there so I’ve spent a fair bit of time there going back to the 70’s. Grandpa left in 45 as he saw no future there. Most everyone else went to college and moved out of state, only a few left.
  2. Merc has a huge advantage. Rarely see Yammi’s
  3. Nice. It’s amazing how different it is, even feels different.
  4. Yep, and more fun too. Have you tried one of the Snake River Farms Wagyu packers yet? Bit of a splurge but amazingly good, the cost limits me to about one a year.
  5. 4lb flats are tough to get right. You really have to smoke for a bit then dump in a bath of beef broth, and cover. Do you have a Costco close? Their prime full packers are pretty good, and priced pretty well. You can always freeze the point if it’s too much, great for chili whenever you get around to it.
  6. Good stuff Matt. What was done in S Korea would never fly here, Americans don’t like being told what to do.
  7. Testing has increased dramatically. Hospitalization and death in decline. Now let’s see if you can put it all together.
  8. Odd location to start with. I’d think someplace like Troy or Birmingham would make a lot more sense.
  9. Clearly no reason to think Creepy Joe made unwanted overtures in private...,when he makes them generally very public.
  10. Seems normal and well balanced. Florida should take heed.
  11. Multiple studies have shown there are groups of homeless that test positive, yet none report symptoms. Possible this could be the case here, especially when it’s known that some strains are more impactful than others.
  12. Pretty cool place. My dad was a boat racing nut back in the 70’s and early 80’s, took us on a couple road trips to Havasu and other lakes out west to watch the races. I have vague memories of it, but I recall him have to turn a t shirt inside out at a race that said, “I’d rather be blown than stroked”. Of course I had no idea what the deal was. He had a Nordic jet boat delivered from AZ in 78 when they were a thing. They’ve come a long way since then.
  13. Not sure that means there is a 30 day incubation period, might have taken a while to run through asymptotic carriers.
  14. The main guy is yes. The following they have is pretty crazy, they have hundreds of member chapters all over the world. I have no idea what a chapter consists of however.
  15. They have quite few really good videos. Even bought one of the knives they always use, it’s just ok.
  16. When an outboard engine can cost more than a new half ton, prices get out of hand.
  17. The Fox thing was me just trying to be funny. I just think it’s hilarious that you only post the negative junk from the right. With fervor. The left does shit that’s so unreal that it’s hard to grasp. I’ve never really sided with either party, but the “liberal party” has gone so far out of bounds it’s tough to have a rational discussion.

  20. Jim, not disputing Trumps stupidity. I’m just curious why you never call out the other side, even though their gaffs are far more egregious. You could stand to learn a little from The fair and balanced reporting of Fox News.
  21. I’d be curious to know what tests they’re using. Many of the antibody tests will show a positive for multiple/common corona strains, which is useless. I had read there are something like 75 antibody tests that are approved by the FDA, only two or three test for covid 19 specifically. What’s the infection rate? If it’s still 2 or 3 then herd immunity is a ways off, even if the tests are to be trusted. If accurate that’s encouraging.
  22. No it really does not. The plate ribs and chuck ribs come from different sections, harder working muscles. Ever see the bones on a ribeye primal? You can even tell by looking at the fiber. The ribs you have are somewhat stringy, like a pot roast. The plate, which is typically the 3 large bones have a tighter muscle fiber. The chuck, which is generally around 4 smaller bones is a bit more stringy. ive cooked them dozens of times. I ask the the butcher the the 3 bone plate section.
