It was known in my house that the kids were not allowed to drive our parents cars. Get a job. So after stocking produce for a year at Ruggles thrifty grocery @16 I bought a 6 yr old 1980 dodge d150. With a 360 4 barrel. It was a long bed 2wd and was the king of Smokey burnouts in the Cumberland farms parking lot! It had a bench seat and column shift so there was a lot of room for activities. It was 2 tone maroon and white. Great rig with ram hood ornament!

Cool thread. My room growing up had cartoon pirate wall paper which as I grew I completely covered with a montage of motorcycle magazine pictures and posters. -

We used to wait for the local cops to post up in this certain bank parking lot after midnight downtown. They’d sit side by each. 2 cruisers facing opposite . We’d blast by them on our bikes at about 90 and accelerating. Then everyone split up and go home. We called it “ buzzing the tower “ 1980 Kawasaki Z1R 1000

They completely bend you over at registration time for new trucks here in the state of New Hampshire. It’s usually around seven 800 bucks for a brand new truck

My superduty has the 6’6” bed. That’s big enough for me. One of the reasons I looked at rams is that I’ve read they have over a years worth built right now. Way too many. Hence the big rebates. 6-7 g less than sticker.

1/2 ton crew cabs are the new popular family vehicle and the price reflects that for sure. 3/4 t are even cheaper sometimes. I like doing it on my schedule, being able to clean it whenever I feel
