My son likes to ride. But really only for an hour or two, then he’s done. Loves the local fields and such but hasn’t shown much interest in real diamond pounding
I’ve got Friday off to ride this week and the 800 is down. I’ll be back on the 08 600 this weekend. Conditions are too perfect. It’s a great sled anyway. Did a full service on it in dec. cleaned the power valves, new belt. She’s a runnah!
There was another good one yesterday nearby. Another rental. Only made it 1/2 mile before pile driving it into a tree. In a guided group on a groomed road ffs.
‘14 Indy sp 800. I just got back from the shop. My guy hooked it up and cleared the code but it’s still cutting out. Code was Throttle position sensor. They say it’s a thing with them. I left it. He’s going to squeeze it in for me but not until early next week.
I was really hoping the issue with my sled was the throttle safety switch. I took it out and taped it open according to the inter-webs but it still cutting out and throwing the engine light up. Hoping my buddy the service manager at the local dealer will hook me up. They have a month back log on service though
Filled it with fresh 91 non ethanol fuel. And added k100 inj cleaner in hopes of an easy fix. But it’s still cutting out. And engine light is Coming on now.
Dang sled is bogging hard. Then it’s not. Then it is. Then it’s not.luckily I followed first tracks this morning a did a loop back towards the house I left it at a boat launch about 10 miles from home and had wifey pick me up. Headed back now to grab it. Feels like a fuel issue. Plugs looked fine.
Everyone in my group is broken or bailed for the weekend. Looks I’m solo riding. My favorite!! Going to ride from home and hit some of my favorite single tracks then swing into the local vintage races.
