  1. Quebec trail passes discounted until Dec. 7 I believe.
  2. Yeah I like the glove mirrors too. What I don't like the normal hood or shield mounted mirrors, as we are often off trailing and occasionally have to roll the sled out of a stuck. Good way to snap those off. I like mixing it up, let everyone get a taste of clear trail, or hanging in the back.
  3. Our group is all pretty experienced, and we mix up the lead a lot. No fun eating the same guys snow dust all day. I have the little Ski Doo mirrors, that fold in and out and mount on the handguards. All you're looking for is a headlight reflection, so no need to be always looking behind you. Hand signals only when safe and convenient as a courtesy, usually closed fist meaning you're last, or signaling number of sleds if you're well in front. Nothing more ridiculous than a line of 5 sleds all visible, and each guy is flashing a signal. Just control your sled and stay on your side of the trail thank you.
  4. I didn't know you could get different deflectors until I had already sent mine back for a refund. I may grab another one given the lack of options right now.
  5. I also have Fly mx style set up that I'll occasionally wear on warmer or all off trail days. Just not a fan in general of this kind of setup for the kind of riding we usually do. I find myself always fiddle fuckin with my balaclava and goggles with air leakage. Had a 509 helmet before that and it was even worse. I know some guys love this set up, and I've never tried a Titan, but meh, I'll stick with full face/shield helmets for the most part.
  6. I'm still searching for my helmet. Wore a BV2S for years, upgraded to an Oxygen which was awesome on the cold days, but hated how it took 20 minutes to warm up if you stopped for a few minutes, and forget it if you're not plugged in or have a cord failure. Ran that 2 years and bought a Mission. Never could get it to fit right, always had the nose piece resting on the tip of my nose, drove me nuts. Then the internal visor mechanism failed so I had to just ride without it for the rest of the season. Got a full refund on that, bought an Exome last year. Not a bad helmet for the money, pretty much just an updated modular. The magnetic mouth piece is a pain in the ass at times to get reattached, like ridiculous. Now I see Skidoo has some new whiz bang ultimate helmet around a grand or more. I may go back to a Mission and just make sure I get the right size/nose piece combo, cuz short of the original BV2S, is the only helmet I've been able to run without a plug, have good visibility without fogging.
  7. Reading this section of the forum is 3 minutes and 47 seconds of my life I'll never get back. Yikes.
  8. I've had good luck with Monster Performance.
  9. I have the same problem with Polaris footwells. Don't know if they made them larger than the Axis on the VR1 chassis, but thats the only sled I've ever gotten my feet stuck in the footwells, and it happened twice on the same sled. I have normal size 10 feet, not cornfield lummox size 15 and I still had trouble with my Klims getting stuck in there.
  10. Hey they make these things called risers, and you can even buy taller seats. I know! Amazing.
  11. The old man did that same trick 50 years ago when his FA400 wouldn't fit on the trailer with the TNTs lol
  12. For what they cost, I can't remember last time I burned off a set of hyfax in one season, so stock with some scratchers is fine for me. 3500-5000 miles I'll throw a fresh set on.
  13. All sleds should come with modular rear tunnel clips and running boards. I mean wtf. Shouldn't have to rebuild it from the frame up after a hit that is often so isolated.
  14. Thats the thing with uncoupled, I don't mind the tradeoff, and you get used to it. When you need traction in 4' of powder, you learn to appreciate it. I like the high, narrow firm seat and high end suspension bits. They're getting to be stupid money though.
  15. Very nice. Already looking forward to the 25 Lynx product announcements. 146" 900 turbo R please.
  16. Holy shitballs trailers have gotten ridiculously expensive. Brother and I bought a 7x14 v nose 10-12 years ago to just haul the sleds north with, for 3 grand. I bet its still worth 5 based on what they want for a new one.
  17. Switzerland of Maine, about 2 months before the season starts....
  18. There’s a bunch in Maine where we ride. Dealer has a limited allocation and they sell out quick. I may pull the trigger on one next year in 146 trim w the 900 turbo R rotor assuming they put it in the G5 chassis.
  19. So you know the drill. Been going on as long as the sport has been around.
  20. x2. I guess it depends on who's running Arctic Cat now, the bean counters (lol) or the rider/racers like in years past. I hope the sled is a smashing success. The sport needs more than 2 brands after Yamaha dropped out.
