I was sauntering through the hospital last Friday with Raina my therapy dog. Alzheimer’s patients that are otherwise dead to the world perk up when she walks on the ward. It’s so cool to see.4 points

I have two labs that just love kids. The first little black kid the oldest dog had seen freaked him out a bit. He spent 20 minutes trying to lick the kids face I think he either thought the kid had mud on his face or that he might be covered in chocolate.4 points

We anchored by Liberty State Park in Jersey City to watch the NYC SailGP races and visit my buddy who lives on another sailboat at the marina in Jersey City. Spotted a whale breaching about 1/200 feet from the boat on our way back to NJ today. I'm officially addicted to sailing.

Good for that care unit to allow those dogs. It’s probably the most impactful moments in my life to see the effect she has on those wounded by life events. If there’s anything that makes me believe in god, it’s the existence of a dog and our relationship to them. Beautiful stuff.3 points

We bring our 2 Labs to see my Aunt at the memory care unit. The place completely changes. They all start smiling and calling. The staff loves it because they get a break from the craziness.2 points

You haven't seen the episode of Nature where David Attenborough went up in the balloon to 70,000 feet or so and used a device to catch the bugs? Lots of frozen bugs up there. The bugs get carried up by updrafts to thousands of feet and freeze. They fall to the Earth all over the planet and thaw out. This is how you can go to an island out in the ocean and find bugs of all types.2 points

Morning- 68 / 67 and partly cloudy. Got home around 12:30 yesterday. Stared cutting the laws around 1 and i'm 80% complete and it starts raining hard. Figured fuck it, keep cutting and finish in the rain. Need to do some trimming today and then get my moms lawn in shape later today or tomorrow.1 point
