I'm 26 and trailmaster of my club, the president is 30, then our secretary/tresurer is mid 50s and so is the vice president. The problem I'm running in to is that no one wants to do trail work and if I'm not there they won't do any even if I pre-plan it all out to a T... not to mention no one wants to groom Friday or Saturday nights which are the most vital runs of the week so those are up to me too... our trails have come around 10 fold since i really started getting involved after they kicked out the previous guy running the club who'd put club gas in his personal sled and put new trails across people's land without asking and even cut a cattle fence once to do it.... Im starting to get a bit burnt out so I'm trying to get some new guys involved, but it isn't easy. Not to mention it is a completely thankless job and I must have some mental illness to actually enjoy doing this shit most of the time.

Snow is starting to pile up. It's almost worth loading up and heading out for a quick rip.

Toys for tots Jeep run. I volunteered to help with parking and traffic. Just over 500 Jeeps showed up. This is one of a few parking lots we filled.The parade route was 27 miles long. A lot of pissed off peaple in the NW Burbs of Chicago. It created a massive traffic jam

Our trail from Charlevoix to East Jordan was lost last year which sucks because that connected me to the Jordan Valley and beyond.....kind of forgot about the club because of the closure but just emailed them to see what I can do to help.

CLP is a great lube. What we use in the military. And make sure you stay away from the steel casings. They wear shit out bad. Especially the extractors. If this is going to be her CCW pistol, I HIGHLY recommend something else.

When I started working in 88 I wasn't too happy with the laws limiting investment in what is your equivalent to a 401K, and after 3 years I was able to pull out a whole $500 into a locked in retirement fund when I left the company. I vowed never to be part of a BS fund and my next career movement I made it clear I wanted no part of a defined pension plan. So after a couple of years, the company noticed I had skipped the mandatory enrollment and started questioning me. I quickly pointed out their investment returns for a defined contribution plan were horrible at less than 1.5% and wanted no part of it, they said I need to to be as it was mandatory. I told them I would resign rather than be part of a plan that would hold back my retirement. They listened to me and totally scrapped their BS pension plan earning 1.5% for a flexible plan tailored to each individual employee. Of course most went for the all equity offering and made like 33% their first year. I still get many thanks many years later for that move that has made many very happy.

Well, I got the car Krown rustproofed, new Husky floor liners/mats front and back, new molded mud flaps, snowies and rims, the windows tinted and yesterday, I gave it a coat of wax. Glad I was able to get all this done before it got too cold and snowy as I should be good until the spring now. Momma is still on cloud nine with her new car. She absolutely loves it, as do I.
