  1. I'm gonna fall check a leftover 17 poo. I've been going flamming over a new xrs but the crazy money and then the more crazy money for all of the accessories just doesn't make sense. This thing comes with just about everything and is $6k cheaper. I'll still prolly spend a couple hunge on some poo bags and I'll stud it. This is probably the top trail weapon anyways...

  2. I was a late comer to HCS as I joined in spring of 04 and frequented the Polaris forum mostly. That spring we started up the Polaris 440/racer subforum and it took off pretty good. I quickly became involved in the CE forum as that was where all the fun was. Fairly unmoderated but still enough oversight that people didn't get to out of hand. Rob sold HCS in 07 I think and we immediately got all the ads and the site really started slowing down. It became painful to be around. Lots of people claimed the HCS forum was giving their computers viruses and making them run slow. Spring 2008 Rob Started Freedom Sledder. I think it was May 8 2008 when the forum kicked off. The new FS forum was talked about in PM on HCS as well as via text as some of had gotten to know each other outside the forum. FSCE was born as a completely unmoderated, anything goes forum. IT took off like wild fire. Fall 2008 was the first Jamstock. About 20 of us from the forum got together at Jammins place on lake Meldred in WI. Had a great time. There were at least 8 Jamstocks all together and people from all parts of the country, Maine to Alaska, gathered to have a blast at Jammins place. I don't know when TBP was first started but it was right around this time or even before. I didn't become a TBP member till about 2012 or something like that. IT seemed like a closer knit group of guys who actually knew each other and rode together. I enjoyed visiting TBP but didn't know as many of the guys there as I did on FSCE. Spring 2016 This forum was going along strongly. Rob had been pretty scarce around here since Jane had died but he was starting to show up more often. Rob and OT had a little disagreement and that was quite bizarre. Rob made mention of selling it a few times but it was hard to tell if he was serious. It was apparent that Rob was tired of dealing with it. Not sure if it was the constant updates or the software or exactly what it was but his patiences was running thin by mid summer. A bit of a flare up between a few members really got under Robs skin. Rob was threatening to shut the place down. Ha was placing blame on a few guys who had no part what so ever in the fiasco. A few other members called him on his bluff to shut the site down so one night about 3am eastern time he pulled the plug. TBP2 was already up and running when Rob pulled the plug last summer/fall.

  3. I was out flying today and caught some sleds going down the lake. I didn't have my settings right to be able to go to sport mode so I could fly faster in order to keep up with them. Hopefully I can get more clips this weekend to make a video.

  4. Irv, With all the sleds I have owned, the diff in fuel at the pumps goes into the idgaf category. Take care.

  5. That pretty much sums up what happened. Some members were asking rob to do something he didn't want to do, ban certain members. It pretty much snowballed from there. Did I agree that certain members should be banned at the time? Yes I did, but I also knew how rob felt about banning members. Some may have felt that it was OK for rob to ban a few members when they pissed him off, why not get rid of a few troublemakers? Simple answer, they didn't seem to piss him off like they did some of us. That's my take on the demise of FS v1

  6. Don't piss off Rob. His house his rules.
    3 points
  7. There was only one rule on the old FS, and for some reason some people couldn't follow that one simple rule, like it or not it was not on Rob, it was on those that couldn't follow that one rule.

  23. I don't think the old HCS could ever be duplicated. IMO a few angry and unhappy people on this site, but pretty good mix. I don't have a problem with anyone here.

  24. You are correct, Rob, wasn't himself last year. He had a hard time with the loss of his wife. Not only was Jane his wife, she was his best friend since high school. He was doing a little better over the summer, but buying the RS in November completely turned things around for him.

  25. Same here. Both sites have a couple dickheads that like to start shit. Just don't pay attention to them. Most guys on both sites seem to be good guys

  26. Nobody was responsible , it was a little bit of everybody . It was the natural cycle of things . The sites run their course , then they fade away and the next one comes along , that's how I saw the whole cycle , hcs , tbp , fs ect

  28. Looks like you had a pretty decent season. Not sure what I ended up for miles, but lots of hours, probably 15-17 days, maybe 1500 miles. If I didn't have a work event and a cruise in the next couple weeks, I'd still be riding. After yesterday, bro came home with no shocks and a bungy corded hood, and Legend's carbidge busted off and he toasted a ski

  34. Vin.......... the factory just dropped a 200 hoss motor in the same sled C'mon man , plenty of stockers had the problem and so did plenty of 8's . Then once some of the good ones got some time and miles on them the TCL's started cracking and until you figured out what it was then you were eating belts . Cat did something about that at least . Then there was the snow ingestion issues . Lee lost his 800 due to that and I towed Brians sled for over 50 miles because of it . I defended them too early on but once the truth came out that was it . The early ones had issues . Lucky for us , you and I got good ones , mines been flawless .

  35. Garth was right, just look at what you posted "800 ETECs are better than the 1200" OK, we all know this......so your SnowGoer mags have the Poo800's burning less fuel that an ETEC 800 so how possibly is your anemic 1200 better on fuel when you said it burns more than an 800 ETEC??? ..really......LOL.....Also I had an 02 MXZ 800 and if you could get 90 miles out of a tank you would be lucky, as a matter of fact, Skidoo had a clutch update on that sled to correct the poor fuel mileage. The Puzzle Vortex is rich with nonsense.....now own it, Garth was right....time to man up.....what a Puzzle beat down, again....LOL

  37. I really don't understand this us against them bullshit. To tell you the truth, I wish there never was a split. I enjoyed reading just about everyone's posts on the old FS. Well, everyone except that SnowRider fella, he was just an asshole

  40. Sweet fancy Moses did I get my Flannigan on last night! Whew! A night filled with a little bit of everything! My wife left me at the bar because of my "brutish behavior" and I had to call a cab....3 hours later. She couldn't believe I didn't need to be "bailed out".
